Position: Senior Financial Analyst - Product Cost Optimisation NW ENGLAND £25 - 30 PER HOURHYBRID
Primary Objective:
To drive financial performance through strategic target setting, cost optimisation, and expert analysis in support of product development and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Target Setting Establish challenging yet achievable unit cost and investment targets at system/component levels
Leverage benchmark data and historical cost information to inform target setting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance and secure buy-in for ambitious targets
Define component target costs for ongoing and future product initiatives
Technical and Financial Decision Support
Guide design processes to meet cost targets through expert recommendations
Influence cost reduction programs by providing critical technical and financial insights
Conduct lean manufacturing assessments at supplier facilities to identify cost-saving opportunities
Evaluate and authorise expenditures within specified authority limits
Analyse supplier cost models to drive value-optimised negotiations
Provide financial impact assessments for alternative design and manufacturing solutions
Cost Data Management and Financial Performance Oversee preparation and presentation of financial performance reports
Lead stakeholders in managing unit cost and investment targets
Brief senior leadership on financial material cost reports and develop mitigation strategies
Provide educational support to enhance process efficiency and productivity
Continuous Improvement Initiatives Proactively identify and implement process improvements
Support company-wide productivity enhancement efforts
