About the Role As an
Assistant Manager – Compliance, you will play a key role in supporting the compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory obligations, and maintaining high standards of governance. Working closely with senior compliance professionals, you will contribute to risk management, regulatory compliance, and client onboarding processes. The role offers exposure to Key Person responsibilities and the opportunity to develop expertise in AML/CFT compliance, monitoring, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities 🔹
Regulatory Compliance & Monitoring: Assist with day-to-day compliance tasks, including the review and escalation of screening results, monitoring client risk profiles, and maintaining compliance registers. Support senior compliance professionals in meeting regulatory expectations and upholding best practices.

Client Due Diligence (CDD) & Onboarding: Evaluate and process CDD and Enhanced Due Diligence (ECDD) documentation for new and existing clients. Conduct screening checks using databases, sanctions lists, and open-source intelligence as part of the client acceptance process.

Compliance Reporting & Governance: Contribute to the preparation of reports for governance meetings, regulatory submissions, and internal compliance assessments. Assist in drafting compliance monitoring plans and ensuring that regulatory frameworks are adhered to.

AML/CFT Risk Management: Support the implementation and review of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Countering the Financing of Terrorism (CFT), and Counter Proliferation Financing (CPF) policies. Assist in conducting business risk assessments and developing compliance strategies.

Key Person Responsibilities (With Training & Support): Develop expertise in providing Key Person roles for regulated and supervised entities. Support the compliance team in fulfilling MLCO and MLRO responsibilities, including suspicious activity reporting, liaising with financial intelligence units, and ensuring effective transaction monitoring.

Regulatory Liaison & Policy Implementation: Stay informed on regulatory changes and ensure policies remain compliant with Jersey Financial Services Commission (JFSC) requirements. Engage with external regulators, banks, and legal teams to provide due diligence responses and regulatory updates.

General Compliance Support: Provide assistance with compliance projects, internal training initiatives, and policy development. Contribute to improving processes to enhance operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.
What We’re Looking For: ✔️Currently working at Assistant Manager or Senior Associate with a
minimum of 3 years’ experience in Compliance within financial services (Trusts, Funds, or Corporate Services preferred).
✔️ Strong knowledge of
AML/CFT regulations, compliance frameworks, and risk-based approaches.
✔️ Currently studying towards or eager to undertake a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ICA).
✔️ Preferably hold or be near completion of a
JFSC Table 5 qualification.
✔️ Proficiency in compliance tools, databases, and Microsoft Office applications.
✔️ Excellent time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
