Accountant

As a Junior Accountant, you will be an essential member of our dynamic Finance team.

This role offers a unique opportunity to expand your accounting knowledge and gain exposure to various aspects of our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain books and records for group entities
• Prepare accruals and prepayments schedules
• Process journals and assist with management accounts preparation
• Handle invoice processing through Xero and Approval Max
• Manage cash planning for operational accounts
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist with VAT and Corporation tax returns
• Manage intercompany control and invoicing
• Contribute to process and control improvements
• Produce business reports
• Participate in various development projects

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (Xero experience is advantageous)
• Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time management and prioritisation abilities
• Analytical mindset to identify and investigate variances
• Ability to work comfortably in a high-pressure environment
• Adaptability to handle additional queries and ad hoc projects
• Strong desire to learn and progress in the field of accounting
