The challenge:
A global car rental company was facing the challenge of rolling out new IT systems across its operations in the UK and EU. Faced with tight project deadlines and budgets, they had to find multiple specialists who could work on the project, amidst a shortage of skilled tech workers in the market. Additionally, they had to balance the need for control with the cost-effectiveness of their options.
They had two options: use an interim management provider capable of sourcing a multi-disciplinary project team comprised of professionals specifically selected for their unique skills and project experience, or outsource the full project to an IT consultancy and lose some control while incurring higher costs.
The solution:
Speed was of the essence. Our response was prompt, and our extensive network and database of skilled interim professionals including IT Administrators, Field Engineers and SQL Database Administrators (among others) meant we could identify and implement a project team within tight timelines. Our lead consultant took the time to get to know the organisation’s requirements and process, ensuring the implementation manager and delivery team were aligned with the project sponsor’s priorities and ways of working.
Cameron Kennedy served as the employer of record, providing a bespoke payroll and invoicing process to facilitate and expedite administrative processes and provide a single end-cost to the client without any hidden or unanticipated costs.
The outcome:
Cameron Kennedy successfully filled 80% of the vacancies and managed the back office and administration of the majority of other contractors from other sources. The project and deliverables were met on time, and the organisation’s European offices were integrated smoothly into the new systems using our international network of contractors and interim managers.
