Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably noticed that AI and machine learning have begun to seep into nearly ever facet of daily life, including recruitment.
Here are a few ways in which AI will reshape the process of recruitment:
- Programmatic advertising – this form of advertising will allow recruiters to place the right ads in front of the right people, based on their browsing history and general activity online. This allows recruiters to expand beyond their local talent pool and encompass a greater reach.
- Profile augmentation – essentially, this will allow recruiters to see beyond a person’s job history. Instead, soft skills, interests and hobbies can be inferred, allowing for further targeting.
- Hyper-personalised outreach – instead of one EVP, companies will be allowed to personalise an EVP to each individual candidate. This allows recruiters to speak directly towards the needs of the individual and tailor towards their situation and needs.
- Chatbots – whilst some companies already use them, more and more will begin implementing them to fill in gaps on a CV, to answer basic questions and to gauge general suitability.
- Facial and speech recognition – video interviews are already being used, however, they will gain greater importance in the future. Through these digital interviews, unconscious bias will be scrapped, and factors such as tone of voice, body language and word choice will be monitored.
The world is moving quickly – are you moving with it?
