THE COMPANY

A rapidly expanding and ambitious chemical manufacturer with a strong presence in the UK is extending its reach into new regions. They are looking for an experienced Financial Analyst to join their team and play a key role in driving the company's ongoing success.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA).
  • Proven experience in management reporting and variance analysis.
  • Expertise in financial modelling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
  • Strategic mindset with a history of improving processes and challenging the status quo.
  • Adaptability to technological advancements and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and solid systems knowledge.
  • Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, with strong personal accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organised, capable of multitasking, and managing tight deadlines.

THE ROLE

  • Support the Head of FP&A with the annual budgeting process, including developing templates, budget models, and coordinating timelines and deliverables with the CFO, SLT, and Business Unit leaders.
  • Assist with quarterly financial forecasts.
  • Develop and maintain a financial planning model integrating P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts over a 5-year period.
  • Collaborate with the Head of FP&A to enhance financial planning systems and tools.
  • Prepare and analyse monthly revenue reports for the Commercial team.
  • Compile and review monthly reports comparing Business Unit performance to the budget and reforecast, leading meetings to discuss variances and provide clear commentary on key risks.
  • Work with the Head of FP&A to deliver accurate and timely financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Support the consolidation of financial data across all divisions for performance reporting.
  • Provide regular updates to the financial model.
  • Prepare reports for regulatory bodies such as the Department of Health & Social Care.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial data from FP&A by collaborating with the Financial Accounting team.
  • Assist in creating financial models to evaluate business opportunities and investments.
  • Support scenario analysis and sensitivity planning for strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in gathering information for the annual renewal of insurance policies.
  • Support the annual statutory audit and pricing scheme audit.
