This newly created role is pivotal, supporting all aspects of the revenue function both on a day-to-day basis and strategically. With specific responsibility for mandates globally, this position promises significant growth, development, and contribution in a high-profile global group role. Additionally, the role indirectly supports a Finance Transformation Programme aimed at enhancing analysis on a global basis to support the broader business, requiring engagement across the Finance function.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
To be considered for this excellent role and opportunity you, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Experience of working within an Investment management or Asset management organisation with multiple country locations. AND
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), with significant post qualification experience in financial control in an international organisation with multiple revenue streams where your role has predominantly included accounting for revenue AND
  • Proven team leadership experience as well as experience of partnering with Senior Management. (leadership and management go hand in hand) AND
  • Good working knowledge of accounting standards US GAAP and IFRS relevant to revenue accounting. AND
  • Outstanding competency with Microsoft Excel and proficiency with other Microsoft outlook tools. AND
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to accumulate, organise and assimilate large amounts of data. AND
  • Ability to work accurately and independently with excellent attention to detail and pride in presentation and delivery of work. AND
  • Results driven approach, including proactive capabilities to make improvements to processes and increase clarity of analysis
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work with the team and other colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines

THE ROLE
Reporting into the Director of Global Revenue, responsibilities include:

- Leading the global mandates team:

  • build relationships with client-facing teams to onboard mandates including understanding the financials of the arrangements and how they affect profitability
  • manage a global team ensuring mandate revenue and rebates are accurately accrued
  • ensure invoices are accurately raised and delivered to clients to agreed timelines
  • manage all debtors and cashflow forecasting
  • be a driving force for improvements in processes and reporting

- Be a key point of contact with the auditors

- Support the Director of Global Revenue

  • at all times ensuring optimum and excellent quality of month end and quarterly reporting including insightful analysis and compliance to SOX
  • on a strategic level, including onboarding newly acquired entities
  • acting as deputy or taking on additional responsibilities when required

- Lead the legal entity control function for the UK Investment management entities

- Support Finance transformation through:

  • Participating in assessment of current and future activities of finance.
  • Create current state assessment documentation with any gaps in processes, technology, controls and change all documented in detail.
  • Develop future state process maps and document key design decisions.
  • Engage with process owners to identify and resolve any issues during the FTP.

- Other ad hoc assigned duties
